Who we are
FileFleet (filefleet.io) is operated by Circular Motion Capital Management LLC, a Delaware limited liability company doing business as FileFleet. We are responsible for the information described here. Contact us at hello@filefleet.io.
Your files
When you add a PDF or image to a FileFleet tool, your browser reads it into memory and the tool’s code, which downloaded with the page, does the work on your device. The finished file is handed back to you as a download. Your file is never sent to FileFleet or anyone else, and we keep no copies, previews, names or contents.
When you use a “Next step” button, the result is passed to the next tool through your browser’s own storage on your device, and deleted as soon as the next tool opens it.
What we collect
- Usage counts. We use privacy-friendly analytics that set no cookies and don’t store your IP address. They record the page visited, the site that sent you, your browser, operating system, device type and country. When a tool runs, we also record the tool’s name, whether it worked, and a rough number of files (such as “2–5”). File names, sizes, contents and anything you type are never recorded. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, nothing is counted.
- Server logs. Our host, Replit, receives the standard technical information every website gets, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Emails you send us. If you write to us, we keep your message and email address to reply.
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use it to build advertising profiles.
Cookies
FileFleet doesn’t use cookies for analytics or advertising. If we ever add any, we’ll list them here first and ask where the law requires it.
Ads
The full-page background may show an ad, marked “Ad”. These ads are images we serve ourselves; they don’t track you. If you click one, you go to the advertiser’s site, and their privacy policy applies there.
Who else is involved
- Replit hosts the website.
- Umami provides the cookie-free usage counts described above.
How long we keep information
Usage counts are kept in aggregate for up to two years so we can see trends. Server logs are kept by our host for a short period for security. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the EU, UK and several US states, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. Because we don’t collect your files or build profiles, there is usually nothing tied to you personally, but you can always ask athello@filefleet.io. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
FileFleet isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Paid tools
We plan to offer optional paid tools that run on our servers, such as video conversion. Those will need an account, and their files will be processed on a server and deleted when the job finishes. They’ll be clearly labelled, and this policy will be updated before they launch. The free tools will always run on your device.
How to check for yourself
Open your browser’s developer tools, choose the Network tab, then run any tool. You’ll see the page’s code and images load, perhaps one small analytics request with the tool’s name, and no request carrying your file.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
